The most powerful typhoon in fifty years has just slammed into China. Typhoon Saomai came ashore with winds of up to 135 miles per hour, causing the evacuation of 1.3 million people. Hundreds of homes are reported destroyed.
Another storm, Tropical Storm Bopha, follows in its wake.
